95 Little Things to be Thankful For Once the Tryptophane Begins to Dissipate
Thanksgiving in the states is a time to reflect.

Indoor Plumbing – Seriously, let’s be grateful for running water. We've evolved.
Dogs with Floppy Ears – Happiness incarnate, and if we see one today, it may be a sign of good luck.
Blankets – Especially the soft ones that make us want to stay cocooned forever. Mine’s blue, heavy, and so fun to work in.
Electricity – The reason our fridge works, our phones charge, and we can drive at night.
Laughing Until We Cry – Nature's way of reminding us to not take life too seriously.
Our Best Friend’s Laugh – One of the best sounds in the world.
The Smell of Freshly Baked Cookies – Nostalgia + sugar = perfection. I will settle for smelling them at this point… actually thankful they didn’t kill me.
Old Photographs – A seeming magical portal to happy times. Sometimes cringey outfits, but still. Life captured, a moment memorialized.
Long Drives with No Destination – Life’s ultimate "choose your own adventure."
Good Hair Days – A cosmic miracle that instantly boosts our confidence. And yeah, we all know how good it makes us feel.
Streaming – Endless stories. Movies, shows, or documentaries... all just a click away.
Our Sense of Humor – Keeps us sane when the world goes sideways.
Compliments from Strangers – Random appreciation that hits just right.
Hot Showers – The universal reset button. It’s like a warm waterfall of happiness.
Breakfast Food at Dinner – Pancakes are meant to be celebrated at all hours - preferably with maple sausage and sourdough toast.
Rainy Days – Perfect for curling up with a book or a nap. Embrace the calm. They are rare where I live, so I enjoy them as brief moments of magic.
Pizza – No explanation needed. It’s pizza.
Learning New Things – Expanding our mind, one aha moment at a time.
Soft Pillows – Personal clouds we get to rest your head on every night. I even take one on my motorcycle trips. Don’t judge, I like my pillow.
Dancing in the Kitchen or Barn – Because why not? Life’s too short to not be in the groove when you’re making spaghetti or feeding horses.
Clean Sheets – Nothing like slipping into bed when everything smells fresh. A singularly special delight.
Sunsets – They still make us smile.
The Smell of Pine Trees – Nature’s cologne. Crisp, fresh, and grounding.
Ice Cream on a Hot Day – Melted happiness on a cone.

Getting Lost in a Good Book – That feeling when the world melts away and you’re elsewhere entirely.
Fireworks – The sky is getting all dressed up just to make us go "ooooh."

Fresh Flowers on the Table – A little bit of nature reminding us that beauty is everywhere. I look forward to renewing this little pleasure soon.
That One Really Cool Teacher – The one who made us realize we were capable of more. He’s gone now, but I still remember his challenges.
Winking at Grandkids – It’s cheeky, and it instantly makes us a little cooler.
Starfish – Proof that nature loves weird shapes. And they look like they're always dancing.
