I just drove down to NM from Great Sand Dunes in Colorado. The Budget rental car Agency in Denver airport gave me a Dodge Challenger. 🤬🤬🤬 Thank Christ we had no snow. Not a fan of muscle cats but it was fun on the straightaways. Though the slightest bump I thought the axles would break. But i loved showing my daughter the changing landscape from high mountains to high desert. The SW i think is the best road trip country.
I have always been in love with the West. It is in my soul, but sadly, it is far away now.
Don, when you write about the West I can feel it, smell it, and hear the lonesome wind whisper through the sage. It ignites my wanderlust and sparks a longing in my heart to explore the prairies, deserts and forests. To drive a new road, see what's around the bend and revisit some old familiar haunts. It reminds me of my true self. So thank you. ...and dammit. I miss the West.

I thought Arizona was beautiful when we went to the Grand Canyon. Thanks Don for sharing the public Art. I always like seeing that kind of art.
