This piece is a love letter to the desert's harsh wisdom—where emptiness isn't absence but an invitation to see clearly. Your ten reasons unfold like a mirage becoming real: that bit about the desert as the original minimalist teacher? Perfection. A reminder that sometimes we need barren spaces to uncover our own unshakeable roots.
Those pictures really speak to me. I love the desert, it's a mysterious and ancient place to me. And I don't mind the heat, I once rode a motorcycle across the Mojave in 112F temps and it was glorious. Not so much the sunburn on my nose afterwards though.

Thank you Anton.
You got it right.
Absolutely stunning work!
Thank you very much.
Magic! Thank you.
Thank you!
Know your limitations. Absolutely! I've said that before and after adventures.
I like the texture of the rock in that third photo. It's kinda unique.
Thanks Kevin.
That first Joshua tree shot is beautiful! I just got back from the desert - it's so magical. I can't gush enough about the four corners states.
Me either.
I also include Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana.
But honestly, I could be happy in the four corners states.
Yes, Wyoming and Montana can come too 😂 I still need to explore Idaho more.

I rode through the Anza Borrego once in the summer. Many, many, years ago. I should consider more hot weather riding.
