I just returned from a trip to Nashville and my AeroPress coffee press and Java Presse coffee grinder were godsends. Teamed with a collapsible electric kettle, my first cup of the day was magic. Maybe you need to find some space in your side cases for this setup!
Perhaps. I should look into something like that. I just love pulling up to a little cafe, sauntering in and having a coffee with the locals. Usually start up a conversation and it helps me connect to the folks in the small towns I love. But... I should look into something portable and have conversations with myself. (I would do that more, but I am kind of a jerk)
Well, there is that. Striking up conversations is part of the journey. And, I have conversations with myself constantly, so that wouldn't be anything new.
You've made me start looking up roads in New Mexico now. I may have to go explore that area now.
I love Pie Town and yeah, we were considering land out that way. However, it is a long long way from stuff we now take for granted. Last time I visited, there was no food market in Pie Town and it was over a 140 miles to healthcare... choose wisely. Heh.

That's awesome, Mike.
Try the road from Santa Fe to Taos - they call it the back way.
And there are several great roads east and west of Santa Fe.
Have a blast - and don't forget El Bruno's...
We loved Pie Town! Still haven’t ruled it out for retirement. Last I remember the population was 50. I could still live there. :)
